Nichify Your ProductsHow to Recycle Content to Squeeze Even More Profits Out of Your Products

Creating your own product takes time, from the research to the actual product-creation itself. And that’s why recycling products is a quick and easy way for you to make more money… without creating an entirely new product!

Here’s how…

Change the Format

You can take an existing product, change the format and re-launch it for more money.

EXAMPLE: You can turn an ebook into a video, increase the price and re-launch. Or you can take an ebook into a multi-part ecourse. Or you can take a multi-part ecourse, elaborate on the material and turn it into a month-long online workshop.

Change the Delivery Method

Another way to squeeze more cash out of an existing product is to offer a different delivery method. Most commonly, that means going from a downloadable product to a shipped product (which increases the perceived value so that you can charge more). Or you can turn a physical product into a downloadable product, where you either keep the price the same or lower the price to use it as an entry-level product.

Nichify the Product

If you’re operating in one focused niche and you’re interested in delving into a related niche, then you can use your existing products to launch your new business. All you have to do is “nichify” the products, your graphics and your sales materials.

Let me explain…  Let’s suppose you have a book about training dogs to compete in agility contests. You can focus in on a specific niche, such as training border collies to become agility dogs. You do this by substituting mentions of the general “dog” with references specifically to border collies.

For example, a phrase like this: “The next step is to teach your dog to jump over hurdles…”

Becomes this: “The next step is to teach your border collie to jump over hurdles…”

You can then nichify this product further, such as by turning it into an ebook about training labs to become agility dogs. Rinse and repeat for however many niches you’d like to operate in.

Combine Multiple Products

Yet another way you can recycle your existing products is to combine multiple products to create a bigger (more expensive) product, such a home study course.

EXAMPLE 1: Let’s say you have a book about getting traffic with SEO, another book about PPC marketing, another product about content marketing, and other products on other aspects of traffic generation. You can combine them into one large product to create a comprehensive workshop or a home-study course.

EXAMPLE 2: Or let’s suppose you have a teleseminar recording about search engine optimization, a software product that helps people locate good keywords for search engine optimization and an ebook about optimizing for the search engines. You can combine these products and sell as a “search engine optimization package.”
